Expandable Polystyrene (EPS)

Expandable polystyrene exhibits a number of outstanding properties meeting the needs of a number of general applications including but not necessarily limited to building insulation, packaging, flotation, geo-technology, product displays, stage setting, etc.

Among the outstanding properties, most noted are:

• Low Density
• Thermal Insulation Capacity
• Excellent Mechanical Properties (resistance in compression, capacity for dampening shock)
• Insensitivity to Water
• Ability to be molded or cut into nearly unlimited shapes
• Ability to be recycled

EPS is a relatively inexpensive material and is great for high volume rugged products. It is also aesthetically pleasing in molded shapes as well as lightweight for low shipping cost and great for blocking and bracing.
